Burns Night at Meyrick Lodge No. 7295

One of the great joys in Freemasonry is visiting other Lodges, seeing how they do things (we all do things slightly differently!), meeting old friends and making new ones. All of our ceremonies are essentially the same in each Lodge, and these take up the majority of our meetings. When you visit another lodge, it is highly likely that you will see a ceremony that you have seen many times before.

In February, a contingent from Rowena enjoyed a visit to Meyrick Lodge no.7295 for a 3rd Degree Ceremony. Meyrick Lodge also have a tradition of celebrating 'Burns Night' at the Festive Board. Serving up a starter of the traditional Scottish meal of Haggis, Neeps & Tatties, accompanied by a wee dram of Whiskey! The main course and desert are followed by the traditional 'Toast to the Haggis'.

The contingent from Rowena not only enjoyed a excellent 3rd Degree ceremony, but also fantastic hospitality and entertainment at the Festive Board. A big thank you to our brothers at Meyrick, we look forward to meeting with you again soon!
